Winters Bank Tower

This picture was taken in the 1980’s with a 4×5 view camera using sheet film.  The building was originally known as the Winters Bank Tower.  This photo was taken from the Rike’s (no relation) parking garage.  I was there in the midday light, but knew a better picture would be towards evening.  The building struck me like an ancient Egyptian monolith rising from the desert.  So, I waited till evening and came back and shot it.  In the lower left corner you’ll notice a phone booth.  With the advent of cell phones, it’s hard to remember how popular they were.
